Donald Contero, President & CEO - As President & CEO, Donald manages all of the administrative duties for the company and oversees each project from inception to completion, including coordinating all project management activities.

Prior to being a founding member of Morpheus Brown LLC in 2005, Donald spent 17 years at Honeywell International.  During that time, he held various positions within the corporation’s Information Technology (IT) organization.  He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with additional certification in Design for Six Sigma.  With more than 10 years of experience in Six Sigma, he has trained over 550 employees, mentored over 80 employees to certification and assisted numerous teams in reporting over $14.8 million in cost savings.  He won numerous corporate awards and his teams were selected to participate in the corporation’s annual Quality Excellence event 6 years in a row (Honeywell’s premier recognition for quality and process excellence).  In this role, Donald was responsible for leading the overall deployment of the Six Sigma program for IT, including training material development and facilitation, course registration, survey design and analysis, project initiation and tracking, employee mentoring and coaching, overall project management, and creating and achieving goals, objectives and deliverables.

During his time at Honeywell International (previously AlliedSignal Inc.), Donald was also responsible for developing and deploying a global project management program utilizing the concepts of the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and helping his organization reach Level 3 compliance.  His responsibilities included developing all of his organizations project management templates, creating a repository for project templates and project documentation, performing monthly audits, performing self-assessments, providing status reports to management and senior leadership, creating and facilitating all training and providing daily mentoring and coaching.

Donald will be attending a Scrum Master certification workshop in October 2013 and a PMP Certification course in November 2013 with PMP certification expected in Q1 2014. 

Six Sigma Master Black Belt – For the past 8 years, our staff has worked directly with a Master Black Belt with experience in Manufacturing, Information Technology, Finance and other areas.  This resource has a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering and is a certified Coach.

Other Six Sigma Professional – We also have access to other Six Sigma professionals as needed.

Retail Sales Public Relations and Marketing – With experience in Retail, Public Relations and Marketing, this subcontractor combines experience in a number of valuable areas. This resource has planned and implemented mass media plans, worked with many charitable affiliations (including the Arizona Humane Society, Arizona Little League, Habitat for Humanity, The Pat Tillman Foundation, PF Chang's Rock and Roll Marathon Health and Wellness Expo, and the YMCA) with various responsibilities and has developed an extensive list of contacts in many industries.  Currently, this individual works with a sports promotions company that provides athletic apparel, custom uniforms and gear for athletic teams, clubs, camps and corporate organizations, is a former teacher with over 12 years of experience and owned her own business.

Construction Management and Engineering – As a retired Air National Guard reserve, this person has years of experience in most types of construction heavy equipment (dirt work, road and highway construction), commercial heavy and light, residential, landscape, concrete work, estimating and surveying.  This resource has a CDL and a current DOT physical card and is licensed for most heavy equipment except cranes and scrapers.  This resource is one year short of completing their Construction Management and Engineering degree.  While in the guard, this resource was responsible for a variety of assignments including facilities management in the Middle East and Louisiana (after Hurricane Katrina).

Organizational Development Professional – As a former Director of Process Operations, Travel & Expense and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, this resource has delivered sustainable cost reductions through continuous improvement programs and process redesign.  This resource clearly understands the systemic relationships between organizational functions and focuses both on strategies and skills to build successful alliances utilizing the collective potential of individuals.  This resource has a MS in Accounting, a BA in Education, an MBA in Business Management, and has Organization Development and Myers-Briggs certification.  This resource is also a Certified Public Accountant and a Franklin Covey Master Facilitator with experience in Strategic Change Leadership.
